FDA considers medicinal herbs, colloidal silver dangerous, but not mercury fillings, chemo, cigarettes,?
How do you explain that reasoning ? Does anybody know of any scientific studies proving that chemotherapy treatments and mercury fillings are safe for people ?
Gary Y and William T – I am not going to haggle with drug industry public relations people, who use propaganda as their scientific “proof” that a conventional drug works, masking it in medical mumbo jumbo. Its like posting a question about finding the right kind of comfortable shoes and then getting badgered by a slick shoe salesman, naturally all of his products are the best, he may even use a shill to gaurantee the hard sell. Two points I will make here, you are welcome to read them and then continue on with your sheep herding. First of all, if mercury fillings are safe, isn’t it curious that two Scandinavian countries have banned their use outright, and other nations such as Britain have put controls on their administration. Secondly, as you know, chemo is cancer by prescription, that you consider herbs and colloidal silver to be more threatening to public health than this officially approved toxic regimen would be funny if it were not so disdainful.

Chemotherapy has never been considered totally safe for people considering what it does. O.o
The FDA considers cigarettes and chemo “safe”? Do you have a link to support that?
The FDA does consider amalgam fillings safe in people above 6 without an allergy, and they are. Here are the scientific studies:

Do you have scientific studies that show colloidal silver and all herbs are safe? Real scientific studies, that is published, independent, peer reviewed quality studies?
Edit:
Soul Doctor – the FDA is funded by the US Government – the tax payer. Why be so disingenuous? It does not do your credibility any favors.

I always thought that the FDA works for the Pharmaceutical companies. it explains these things.
Chemo is big business. If it kills you they say it was the cancer.
Well, FDA isn’t working for the our benefits, its funded by the Pharmaceutical industry and just watches their interests nothing more. Here check this out, it explains it all more or less :o)

Nothing is perfectly safe. After all peanuts can kill some people but the FDA still lets them be sold in America. There is a certain degree of balancing risk and benefits. Whenever someone is about to get chemo for cancer the doctor gives a long list of potential and even likely side-effects. The thing is, the results of letting the cancer run rampant are nearly always far worse than the side-effects of chemo. I’ve had people in my own family elect to not receive chemo because at their age recovery even with chemo was unlikely and they didn’t want to deal with the adverse effects of the drugs. The doctors wholeheartedly supported their choice.
Mercury fillings are carefully regulated and monitored with a number of rules to make sure that they are used safely. You’re wrong there.
As for cigarettes you are so far from right you can’t even see it. The FDA has NEVER had even the slightest influence over tobacco sold in America. There is actually legislation going through right now to fix this. Yes, tobacco in America is a good example of big business influencing the government to the disadvantage of people but the FDA isn’t involved at all. If you’re going to spout conspiracy BS you could at least check to make sure that your basic facts are correct.
The FDA doesn’t consider herbs dangerous, just useless. If herbal businesses thought this wasn’t true they would push to get FDA approval. But they know that herbs are BS and so the enjoy their lack of FDA regulation.
Not only is colloidal silver quite dangerous it’s also completely ineffective. Again, the last thing that they people who make it want is for a group of real doctors to look over their research.
