Question about safety of Medicinal Herbs and/or overdosing?
Let me give you the background of my question really quick. I have dealt with a mild case of internal hemorrhoids for the last couple years and not much has helped. I bet several herbal supplements and herbal treatments to assist in various vein health and optimal digestion, etc but I really just want advice on the safety of combining some of the herbs I bought. Ok so here’s what I bought:
Psyllium Husks – 100 caps
Ginger-Peppermint Combo – 100 caps
Olive Leaf Extract – Standarized, 60 caps
Nettle Herb 435 Mg – 100 caps
also a formula in pill form I believe which contains-
Aesculus Hippocastanum 3x, Hpus; Ratanhia 3x, Hpus; Nux Vomica 3x, Hpus (0.0012% alkaloids); Calcarea Fluorica 6x, Hpus in a base of Lactose, USP
Tell me if it is relatively safe to take most if not all of those herbal supplements once a day or so and also if you have some good visualization techniques to rid hemorrhoids I would be interested in that too. I would much appreciate it if you could email me directly at opticalbarnacle@gmail.com as it is my main email and I don’t check this one as frequently. Thanks

Yes, all of those are perfectly safe to take every day… some of them even recommend to take a few times throughout the day.
The Psyllium Husks are just a basic source of fiber, so you could take several pills of that with no problem… I’d be careful about taking more than 10 grams all at once, though, since your body can only take so much fiber at a time. Those are generally recommended 3 times a day or so.
With the Ginger and Peppermint, I would follow the recommendations… too much of those can upset the stomach (depending on the dose, of course). Good luck and I hope I helped!
can’t say about the other herbs but my common sense says Ginger-Peppermint combo is too harsh and will aggravate the symptoms.
