@spigonvids Yes, that’s a great way to test our gear.
@ghostkamo have you ever thought of bringing your trekking bag and the stuff you’d bring yaking and simulate you get lost somewhere and then survive for 2 or 3 days while taping it? That’d be pretty epic like you ;).
@Ghostkamo I love your take on the ‘discount’ kit–you are right on to keep it simple and inexpensive as possible!
@Urbanwild1 That was a Coleman stove, I picked it up at A discount price ($20.00)because a new brand was being stocked at a sports store.
Great video–thanks for taking us along on that stormy day. Nothing like the sound of rain pattering on a tarp!
BTW–what stove were you using? I didn’t recognize it–kinda looked like the MSR Pocket Rocket.
first rate info and video, thanks Kamo.
my best,+++JC
@TheBeebopper Yes, this is an evergreen and is useful all year. The leaves all year and the berries from late summer until spring.
Is this plant available all year, even under snow or frozen?
I have never tried that. From the great comments and video I would imagine that Tea would be great. I hope I come across them. Thanks Kamo!
Great video. I’m living the good life through your lense.
@beast12101 Yes, the berries and leaves are like wintergreen gum, a spicy mint flavor.
Did you manage to stay dry brother? Great vid!
Neat video. I’ll try to find some of those plants up here in Canada.
i was going to request this exact video. thanks! :)
Tea berry must be more of an eastern thing because I don’t think I’ve come across it here out west. More research required! Thanks for the info and scenery!
Excellent educational video….I like how you enjoy your time outdoors. I need to get out again…. (i was out last night). LOL.
Lovely video Kamo, Beautiful setting and not a worry in the world just making tea in the comfort of a tent on a rainy day. Thanks
Another great video. Thankyou.
Great info thanks.
ah, love the sound of rain hitting a tarp. Interesting video, really enjoyed this.
You got to love being outdoors in the rain. Smells so good.
Have you tried your hand at hammock camping? If not, I’d strongly suggest giving it a try. Making your own hammock is easy as a straight hem and a little binding at the ends. Add a bug net and a tarp, and you’d have an excellent, low weight, comfortable, bug free sleep/rest.
Good video. Thanks for sharing bro!
if you crush the leaf will it smell minty?
I love the rain in the wild. thank you for sharing that canada tea info.
